I'm a former Research Fellow at the Computer Graphics and Computational Geometry research group of the University of Cagliari, where I received my Ph.D. in 2016. During Summer 2014 I visited Danmarks Tekniske Universitet where I worked with professor J. Andreas Bærentzen. During April 2015 I visited professor Loic Barthe at the Universitè de Toulouse III - Paul Sabatier . My research is focused on structured representation such as Quad Meshes and Polar Annular Meshes (PAM's). I am particularly interested in exploring how structured meshes can be build and manipulated in combination with some shape descriptor (i.e. curve-skeletons and simplied medial surfaces ), both starting from an unstructured mesh or building them in an interactive or procedural fashion.
